The C3 recovery tool is meant to help engineers verify and reset the basic WAN, LAN and WIFI configurations of the C3 appliance.

The tool is started for the C3 command line interface and is comprised of 2 parts:

This tool is available from software version 4.0.7 onwards until version 4.8.4. It is not available in version 5.0 and upwards.

The access to the C3 command line interface can be carried out in one of 2 ways:

  • Connecting either to the LAN port or WiFi to the C3 LAN IP (default is 172.16.0.1), using and SSH Client, such as putty.

Log in to the C3 using the administrator credentials (default is username: c3; password: root).

To start the recovery tool: sudo c3-recovery.

The diagnose part of the utility will check:

  • If the br0 interface exists, is up with an assigned IP address
  • The C3 WIFI, if it exists, it will check if the hostapd service is alive and running
  • Check for conficts between the WAN and LAN subnets

Press any key to go back and then press “2” to enter recovery mode:
